Wear-Resistant Ring with Inner Cooling Passage Welded on

Introduction:This is used in the first ring groove of aluminum piston for the internal combustion engine, too. It is structured by directly attaching the cooling oil channel to the back of the wear-resisting ring. This maximizes the cooling effect of the engine oil on the carrier. Therefore it is the best structure for cooling effect. Its structure is more compact, easy casting positioning, and high productivity. This type leads the new direction of large piston manufacturers in Europe, Japan, and the United States. It has its broad market prospect. A test was performed by a major foreign engine manufacturer to demonstrate the difference in the cooling effects between the Welded-Loop-Type Internal Cooling Passage and the Salt-Core-Type Internal Cooling Passage. It indicated that the former type offered a better cooling result, a lower temperature at the first ring groove, 215℃ from 278℃, dropped as much as 60℃; the temperature at throat of the combustion chamber also reduced near 40℃.
